These Terms of Service outline the standards, protocols, and mutual commitments of Divine Steps Academy and parents/guardians to foster a productive and supportive online learning experience.
By enrolling a student in our programs, both parties confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
The Academy commits to the following:
Providing secure access to all required virtual classrooms, learning materials, and resources.
Assigning qualified educators and support staff to guide the student's academic progress.
Maintaining consistent communication with parents or guardians regarding student attendance, performance, and any concerns.
Offering technical assistance during established office hours.
Providing parents/guardians with updates on the student's academic progress every 6 weeks.
Parents and guardians agree to:
Ensure the student has a functioning device and a stable internet connection.
Support the student in following a structured daily learning routine.
Monitor attendance, assignment completion, and class participation.
Notify the Academy promptly regarding any absences or technical issues.
Promote academic honesty and ensure all submitted work is exclusively the student's own.
Ensure background noise is reduced during class to benefit the child's learning and ensure clear communication with teachers.
Students who are behind academically must remain consistently in the program to achieve their academic goals.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes on time and submit completed assignments by the stated deadlines.
Any absence must be reported to the Academy within 24 hours via direct message or email.
There will be no re-teaching of a lesson once the teacher has made themselves available.
Teachers, at their discretion, will not conduct a teaching session if the student is more than 30 minutes late.
Late students will not get extra time within their original 1-hour class session unless there are special exemptions given (ie. no other students to have a session following your child's).
Missed classes will be uploaded to the child's Google Classroom or the communicated assessment platform.
Parents must ensure their child is not fidgeting or distracted by environmental objects, such as toys or music.
Parents/guardians must ensure that the student:
Treats all teachers, classmates, and staff respectfully.
Adheres strictly to online classroom etiquette and rules.
Avoids any disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior.
Keeps their camera on during class time unless instructed otherwise by the teacher.
Payments vary depending on the chosen method and selected plan.
Parents paying weekly are required to submit payment by Friday at 1:00 PM (during banking hours).
Parents paying monthly must ensure fees are submitted on the same calendar date each month (e.g., if you pay on the 10th, the next payment is due on the 10th of the following month).
To ensure a smooth start to the week and allow for schedule finalization, only students with paid fees will be added to the roster and timetable.
Registration and tuition fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether a student withdraws or is unable to complete the program.
The Academy operates with a specific quota for each class; once met, additional applicants are refused.
Fees paid for a given period are not refunded, as they secure your child's placement within the institution.
Holding a secured spot means another child may have been refused admission to accommodate yours.
The Academy reserves the right to terminate a student's enrollment if the terms of this agreement are not upheld by the student or parent/guardian.
If the Academy determines a student must be withdrawn due to academic, behavioral, or policy violations, the parent/guardian will receive written notice in advance of the removal date.
Cases involving serious misconduct may require immediate removal without advance prior notice.
